It is possible that the Danish countess Elise (Elisabeth) Ahlefeldt-Laurvig, Immermann's future lover, did most of the work on this German translation, but this seems uncertain in view of the evidence cited by Porterfield (see 'Bibliographical sources' below).

Scott, Walter; Immermann, Karl, transl.; [?Ahlefeldt-Laurvig, Elisabeth Davidia Margarethe, transl.]. Ivanhoe: eine Geschichte vom Verfasser des Waverley (Walter Scott) / Nach der neuesten Originalausgabe übersetzt und mit einem einleitenden Vorworte versehen von Karl Immermann. Hamm: Wundermann, 1826. 3 vols. 12mo.

It is possible that the Danish countess Elise (Elisabeth) Ahlefeldt-Laurvig, Immermann's future lover, did most of the work on this German translation, but this seems uncertain in view of the evidence cited by Porterfield (see 'Bibliographical sources' below).
