On the evening of 4th February, and a little before 7, the last witness spoke to me—I turned round and saw Wilbutt running from the corner of New Street Hill—I chased him, and caught him in Shoe Lane, opposite Robin Hood Court—I took him back to the corner of New Street Hill, and there I saw the two forms against the wall—I sent for Messrs.
