J. Horsfall Turner in 1893 mentioned a public house near Little John Mill and Robin Hood Mill "where 'If Robin Hood be not at home, | Come take a glass (gingerbeer) with Little John.'"[1] These lines may well have referred to the pub at No. 16. Template:PnItemQry
