Edward Rosser, butcher, born in Coleford in 1806, was keeper of the Robin Hood Inn there according to the record of the baptism of his son William on 5 February 1832. Edward died in 1838. The record of a baptism in Coleford in 1832 includes a reference to a local Robin Hood Inn.
