According to a thread on the Sheffield History forum,[1] this pub is first recorded in 1822. The contributors to the thread list 48 entries from trade directories and other sources from the period 1822-1951. The name is cited variously as Robin Hood (1822, 1849, 1854, 1856, 1862, 1877, 1879), Robin Hood and Little John (1841, 1859), Robin Hood Inn (1861) and Robin Hood Hotel (1911). It is not clear when the establishment closed.
