The home of the villain of the ballad [[Robin Hood and Guy of Gisborne]] is usually taken to be [[Gisburn]] in the Ribble Valley (Lancashire, formerly the West Riding of Yorkshire), but Guisborough in the North Riding of Yorkshire is certainly also a possibility. The home of the villain of the ballad Robin Hood and Guy of Gisborne is usually taken to be Gisburn in the Ribble Valley (Lancashire, formerly the West Riding of Yorkshire), but Guisborough in the North Riding of Yorkshire is certainly also a possibility.
