Friars Way, Tunbridge Wells / Google Earth Street View.

By Henrik Thiil Nielsen, 2020-11-09. Revised by Henrik Thiil Nielsen, 2021-02-13.

Friars Way, which connects Birken and Greggs Wood roads in a neighbourhood of Tunbridge Wells known as Sherwood, is likely named after Friar Tuck. Like the names of several other streets, businesses and facilities there, including the Robin Hood pub at Birken Road, this 20th century street name was probably ultimately inspired by that of Sherwood (Tunbridge Wells) (1).
