Coningsburgh Road is one out of a cluster of eleven, mainly residential, streets with Robin Hood/Ivanhoe-themed names in Kirk Sandall. As can be sen on 25" and 6" O.S. maps of the area published 1930, the road was then planned or under construction. It is named on the map. In Walter Scott's Ivanhoe (1820), the climactic scenes take place at Conisbrough Castle (renamed Coningsburgh Castle). Template:PnItemQry
