Revised by … Apparently in business by 1836, Robin Hood Mills were a cotton spinning mill located on the south corner of Lever and Snipe streets in Bolton, Lancashire. Its last domicile survives and is now home to other businesses. According to a guide to the industrial archaeology of the Greater Manchester area, published in 2002, the spinning mill figures on a map of the area published in 1882. McNeil, Robina 2000a, p. 19. The original Building was destroyed by fire in 1862. Its first successor burnt down less than twenty years later. The third and still existing Building was built by A.H.
