By Henrik Thiil Nielsen, 2018-02-20. Revised by Henrik Thiil Nielsen, 2018-07-17.
The 1842 tithe award for Southminster includes in its listing for North Wick a plot of land named 'Robinhood', owned by John Faithful Fortescue and occupied by John Kemp, with 'Grass' as state of cultivation and an area of 20 acres, 2 roods and 17 perches (Template:AcreRoodPerchToM2 m2).[1] Robinhood was situated c. 150 m NW of Robinshood Marsh in Dengie and c. 575 m NW of Middlewick Windfarm[2] I have no evidence to show if the name 'Robinhood' is still in use.
