In 1844 if not later, there was a pub named Robin Hood on Greens Lane just east of Helsmhore. It was gone by 1894. Did it move to 280 Holcombe Road or are the two Robin Hood pubs quite unrelated?
Brief mention
- Robin Hood's Well, near Helmshore by John Crawshaw.
