of Bentham, which includes High Bentham and Low Bentham.

The place-name "Robin Hood Butts" figures in an entry in the parish register of Thornton-in-Lonsdale from 1738. A.H. Smith's lists it as a field-name.[1] I have not been able to locate this field or place on O.S. maps of the area.
