The Robin Hood at 42 Shacklewell Lane, Hackney, existed at least as early as 1861 and closed no later than 1997, when it was converted to flats. Information on publicans gleaned from trade directories etc. from the period 1861–1983 can be found at UK Pub History (see Sources section below).
