This section covers mainly children's books, picture books and fictional works intended for a general readership but now mostly read by young readers. Poetry written for children is also found here. Comic books are not included here since an entire section is dedicated to them. Works intended for, and still read by, a general or adult readershhip are much less common than books for younger readers, and so far it has not been considered necessary to create a dedicated section for them, so they are included here as well.

There are four subsections: specific titles (arranged alphabetically according to author), bibliography, studies and criticism, and special topics.
