Happy Friar (Tunbridge Wells).
By Henrik Thiil Nielsen, 2020-11-09. Revised by Henrik Thiil Nielsen, 2021-01-06.
Happy Friar, a Chinese takeaway shop at 2 Friars Way, Tunbridge Wells, is no doubt named after the street, which is in turn likely named after Friar Tuck. It is situated in a neighbourhood of Tunbridge Wells known as Sherwood, a named which inspired those of this shop and several streets, businesses and facilities, including a Robin Hood pub at Birken Road, in this part of Tunbridge Wells. The shop, or at any rate the company which owns it, was established in 2016.[1] Template:PlaceNamesItemQuery
