Happy Friar (Tunbridge Wells).

By Henrik Thiil Nielsen, 2020-11-09. Revised by Henrik Thiil Nielsen, 2020-11-09.
Happy Friar, a Chinese takeaway shop at 2 Friars Way, Tunbridge Wells, is no doubt named after the street, which is in turn likely named after Friar Tuck. It is situated in a neighbourhood of Tunbridge Wells known as Sherwood. The shop, several streets, businesses and facilities there no doubt owe their names to the presence of a Robin Hood pub at Birken Road. The shop, or at any rate the company which owns it, was established in 2016.[1] Template:PnItemQry
