Friars Way, which connects Birken and Greggs Wood roads in a neighbourhood of Tunbridge Wells known as [[Sherwood (Tunbridge Wells)|Sherwood,]] is likely named after Friar Tuck. Like the names of several other streets, businesses and facilities there, this 20th century street name was probably inspired by that of the [[Robin Hood (Tunbridge Wells)|Robin Hood]] pub at Birken Road.
