Source notes
MS Lay Subsidy Roll 202/74, National Archives; Poll Tax of 4 Ric. II (1381), for some township in Harthill Wapentake; membrane 1. The membrane is imperfect at the top, so missing the heading that would have included the name of the township.[2]
IRHB comments
A record to the effect that R. Hude paid his contribution to the infamous poll tax which precipitated the Social Revolt previously known as the Peasants' Revolt.
