None of the lists and gazetteers listed below notes that the 1474/75 item is ambiguous. A reader who was unaware that parish fundraising in late medieval and early modern times was sometimes done in the name of Robin Hood would be inclined to read "hodg" as "Hodge", note "Hood". knew nothing about Robin Hood festivals not The name "hodg" might conceivably be the surname Hodge
