This template sets up page variables on item pages in IRHB's place-names section. It takes the following parameters:
  • Lat – latitude.
  • Lon – longitude.
  • AdmDiv – administrative division, usually the pre-1972 county in which the locality denoted by the place-name is located. Only use value London for the City of London. For Yorkshire write one of:
    • East Riding of Yorkshire.
    • North Riding of Yorkshire (includes City of York).
    • West Riding of Yorkshire.
  • Vicinity – brief text to locate the locality more precisely.
  • Status – one of:
    • Defunct
    • Extant.
  • Type – one of:
    • Public house
    • Natural feature
    • Establishment
    • Church
    • Monument
    • Building
    • Prehistoric site
    • Thoroughfare
    • Settlement
    • Area
    • Transport
    • Association
    • Artifact
    • Miscellaneous.
  • Riding – value must be one of East, North or West. Only for Yorkshire.
  • Interest – one of:
    • Robin Hood name
    • Local tradition
    • Literary locale
    • Artifacts
    • Miscellaneous.
  • Demonym – defaults to English.
  • GreaterLondon – for localities in parts of Essex, Middlesex, Surrey and Kent that are now part of Greater London. Set to Yes or any other alphanumeric string to indicate that the locality is in Greater London.
  • Year – four digit value representing one of:
    • year of earliest known record
    • year of creation/establishment
    • year when first mentioned in planning documents/records.
  • Aka – alternative name(s) for the locality, establishment etc. Use semi-colon without spaces as separator in case of more than one value.
  • Century – two digits, overrides century calculated from Year parameter.
  • Cluster1 – name of place-name cluster to which the locality belongs
  • Cluster2 – name of another place-name cluster to which the locality belongs
  • Image – image filename, including extension.
  • Postcards – set to Yes or any other alphanumeric string to indicate that there is/are photos of one or more topographical postcards depicting the locality on the page.
  • ExtraCat1 through ExtraCat5 – use for additional category names.
  • GeopointPrefix – usually left blank but sometimes = "Near " (note trailing space)
  • GeopointSuffix – usually left blank but sometimes = "?"
  • VicinitySuffix – usually left blank but sometimes = text with the form " (_SOME_VALUE_)" (not initial space)
  • StatusSuffix – usually left blank but sometimes = "?"
  • DatePrefix – usually left blank but sometimes = "''c'' " which displays as "c. " (note trailing space)
  • DateSuffix – usually left blank but sometimes = "?"
