Sherwood Street,
[[File:|thumb|right|500px|Sherwood Street. / Google Earth Street View.]]
By Henrik Thiil Nielsen, 2018-05-20. Revised by 18.116.24.105, 2020-05-15.
Sherwood Street runs south from Church Street in Warsop. Part of it was formely named Butt Lane. Since the street owes its name to the fact that it leads to one of the remaining areas of Sherwood Forest, its name cannot in itself be said to be Robin Hood-related. Its relevance in this connection lies instead in its likely having provided the inspiration for several Robin Hood-themed street names in the vicinity. The earliest reference I have is a 6" O.S. map of the area published in 1884, but the street name may well be older. Template:PnItemQry
