With a handful of street and field names in this vicinity all going back to a now demolished Robin Hood pub which was in business by 1844, there can be little doubt that Sherwood Grove and Loxley Hall are part of the Robin Hood-theme. The homes on Sherwood Grove have a late 20th to early 21st century look, so the street is probably of fairly recent construction.
