Robin Hood Spring was (or is?) the name of a well c. 400 m due south of Robin Hood Moss, on Howden Moors, Bradfield, South Yorkshire, formerly the West Riding of Yorkshire. It is located in an area of moorland overlooking, to the west, the Derwent Dams and Howden Reservoir, which form a boundary between West Yorkshire and Derbyshire.[1] Robin Hood Spring is included on the 6" O.S. maps of the area that are available online at NLS, the first of which dates from 1855 (see Maps section below).
