Robin Hood Road is indicated on Google Maps and other modern maps but not found on the 6" O.S. maps from the period 1888 to 1951 listed below (see Maps section). In the late 19th century, a few clusters of houses on the west side of Alexandra Road, which runs parallel to Robin Hood Road, were known as Robin Hood Cottages.
