Gent, Thomas. The Antient and Modern History of the Famous City of York; And in a particular Manner of its Magnificent Cathedral, commonly call'd, York-Minster. (with several remarkable Transactions, not published before) from different Manuscripts, down to the Third Year of the Reign of His Present Majesty King George the Second. To which is added, A Description of the most noted Towns in Yorkshire, with the antient Buildings that have been therein, alphabetically digested for the Delight of the Reader; not only by the Assistance of antient Writers, but from the Observations of several ingenious Persons in the present Age.
