[18 May 1768:]
Elizabeth Perkins. I am wife to Thomas Perkins, and live in Robinhood's-court, Shoe-lane. On Saturday the 23d of April in the morning, my husband was gone out to work, he opened the window before he went out; I soon heard the cry, stop thief, it awaked me; the prisoners were brought up to the window to me as I was in bed, and my cloak was brought with them, it was in my room when I went to bed.[1]
