The two US editions of this were issued in a total of 25 printings in the period 1941-71. Six printings of the first edition were issued under the series title Classic Comics, and seven under series title Classics Illustrated (from March 1947). This edition had a line-drawn front cover by Malcolm Kildale and art by Edd Ashe and unknown artists. The manuscript writer is unknown. The second edition (January, 1957) had a painted front cover by an unknown artist. It had art by Norman Nodel, and again a manuscript by an unknown writer. Twelve printings were issued of the second edition.
