IRHB comments

Henry de Faucumberg, an historical sheriff of Nottinghamshire, has been suggested as the original of Robin Hood's traditional enemy. John Bellamy argues that the Henry Faukonberg concerned in the present record was identical with the sheriff of that name.[3] Also see the page on Sheriffs of Nottingham.
