Confirmation by P[eter], "Minister" of the church of
Winchester, of the grant by Joan, who was the wife of Robert le Hod, of
the church of Westistede to the Prior and Canons of Seleburne.[1]

Macray, W.D. (1891), p. 20: the date is '1237, 4 June, "pridie nonas Jun."' The charter was written "per manum P. Russinol." It is Macray's item No. 269. Description of seal: 'Fragment of the oval red episcopal seal, sewn up in wool.' Macray notes that there is '[a]nother original copy of the same grant, but one never sealed.' This is item No. 273 (not entered separately by Macray).
