The defunct Robin Hood & Little John on The Town (formerly High Street) in Great Aughton, next to the village church, was in existence by 1861 and until 1910 if not later.

Information on publicans for 1869–1910 can be found at Pub History,[1] which lists a T. Day as publican in 1869, citing 'Post Office Directory' as source. Already in the 1861 census we find Thomas Day listed as 'Inn Keeper',[2] while the 1881 census lists a William Day as 'Miller & Publican'.[3] Pub Wiki lists a Henry Jaquest as publican in 1898 and 1903, referring to Kelly's Directory (1898 and 1903). Jaquest is also listed as publican in the censuses of 1891[4] and 1901.[5] Formerly belonging to Huntingdonshire. Great Staughton is now in Cambridgeshire.[6]
